CAMPTOWN LADY
Camptown lady, come what maybe, cook in leather with a homemade gravy.
Hot banana, cha cha lady, what’s the weather like up there Katy?
We sat together in a downtown bar where the fists and the daggers fly.
We walk together by the Dock, gonna make her mine, gonna make her mine, gonna make her mine.
Sometimes lovin’, sometimes thinkin’, sometimes laughin’, most time drinkin’.
All my memories, clouded over, were you the girl that I kissed in Dover?
TLC
It's not about the pretty clothes you wear, it's not about the colour in your hair.
It's not about the label on your shirt, it's not about the money in your purse.
It's not about the latest gadgetry, it's not about the places to be seen.
It's not about collecting friends online, it's not about the kind of car you drive.
It's not about the toughest or the brave, it's not about the zeros in your wage.
It's not about deferring to the man, it's not about a holiday in Cannes.
It's not about the label on your clothes, it's not about the powder up your nose.
It's not about the sound of your ringtone, but this one really would be cool.
MY LUCILLE
My Lucille, my Lucille, she works at the bar and grill, and she's the kind of girl you won't be taking home.
My Lucille, my Lucille, she got more than time to kill, and she's the kind of girl who won't be teated wrong.
Lucille's got grace and style, she gets things done and I will love her till the carnival shuts down.
Lucille's the kind of girl who makes a love filled world and I can't think of life without her around.
Lucille, she got it all, you'll know when Lucille called, the sparkle in her eyes will let you know.
Lucille's got great respect for everyone she's ever met and I don't want to be here when she goes.
MOON ON A MOUNTAIN
When you're feeling like it's all too much and like your feet are trudging to the endless motion.
When you're feeling like you've had enough and all your dreams are crushed, flow like the river to the ocean.
When you're feeling like it's out of reach and all beyond belief, feel like a lamb upon the alter.
When you're feeling like you're out of touch, and all your lines are dust, you choose, the puppet or the pauper?
MRS JONES DIARY
Mrs Jones's diary was a dainty thing to read, full of pleasantries and platitudes, and philanthropic deeds.
On the surface it defined a staid and ordinary life, but in the hours of darkness Mrs J was Madam Vice...
Mam Jones standing at the top of the stairs in a skin tight one-piece leather affair, she said "come up here boys and don't be scared, she said "be my baby".
Mam Jones in it for the love of the game she didn't know no boundaries, know no shame, she said "come up here boys and make my day",
she said "be my baby". Mrs Jones's diary was bound in lincoln green, it catalogued her dealings with the rich, well heeled, and mean.
She listed all the money gained in a column edged in red, and one for all the causes that would benefit instead.
Mam Jones never was the kind to be cruel she said "take it as it comes" as a kind of a rule, she said "too much money was the vice of a fool", she said "be my baby".
Mam Jones pictured at the height of her fame in her thigh length boots with a whip and a cane, she said "sometimes pleasure is a bit of a pain but you can be my baby".
LUV LUVIN YOU
I love loving you the whole day through, I love loving everything you do, I love loving everything you do, 'cos
I love loving you the whole day through. I love loving till the break of dawn and I love loving when the morning comes,
I love loving you the whole day through, 'cos I love loving you.
I love loving in the summertime and I love loving when the weather's fine, I love loving when the skies are blue,
'cos I love loving you the whole day through.
NOTHING EVER CHANGE
We're through playing Cowboys and Indians, we're thru with a fear of the dark.
We've done playing junkies and rock stars, we've done making out in the park... nothing ever change.
We toyed with the Zen and the zeitgeist, we played all the X rated games.
We travel in search of a sunset, and find ourselves lost in the rain... nothing ever change.
We march for the cause of compassion, shed a few tears when nothing gets changed,
and we grow to accept the departure of all we have loved on the way... nothing ever change.
We can wait till our days become numbered, our dreams float away on a wave, or
stand up as one and be counted, and make something out of our days... nothing ever change...

I CONFESS
I confess, I confess, emptiness is next to godliness (fool), I got a feeling that there's nothing left,
when the lights go out, oh when the lights go out.
I confess, I confess, with my x-ray eyes I'm getting you undressed (fool)
I might be damned and yet I might be blessed, time is running out so little time is left.
I confess, I confess, it's elemental but I'm getting stressed,
I got a feeling that this life's a test and time is running out, so little time is left.
I confess, I confess, my jeans are holy but my head's a mess,
I got a feeling that there's nothing left when the lights go out, oh when the lights go out... that's it !!
TODAY'S WAR
What war will be fighting in today, to which land will we be sent away?
Will they line the streets with flowers or with mines and bullet showers, will the locals think that we have come to save?
What war will be fighting in today, while our loved ones sit at home and try to pray,
will they line the streets with petals, will we get a hero's medal, will we come back home at all (no one can say)?
What war will we be fighting in today?
DONE AND GROWN
Drive me to the water, tie me to a stone, drop me in the water, 'cos we all done and grown.
Walk me to the box car, pay my ticket home, walk me to the box car, 'cos we all done and grown.
Put me on a sail boat, let the four winds blow, put me on a sail boat, 'cos we all done and grown.
Take me to the Doctor, put a needle in my vein, take me to the Doctor, don't let me die in pain.
Don't worry 'bout the time that you wasted, don't worry 'bout the time that you blown.
All you have's the fruit that you tasted, 'cos we all done and grown, yeah we all done and grown.
We all done and grown, we all die alone.
GIRLFRIEND LIKE YOU
What would I do with a girlfriend like you? I diddely-i-die-die-die.
What would I do with a girlfriend like you? Lie diddely-i-die-die-lie.
I've found that latterly it gets less flattering, what can the matter be, is it anatomy?
It takes much longer to recharge my battery, hold onto youth in your dreams...
Every day, party day, powders and canapes, dancing the night away now gives me ache and pain.
Hair dye and osteopath, skin cream and epsom bath, nothing is quite what it seems...
If you'd known me in my youth, I'd know what to do.
What would I do with a girlfriend like you? We'd hold hands and walk in the park.
What would I do with a girlfriend like you? We'd play games of Scrabble and chance.
FALLING OFF THE WAGON
Falling off the wagon every time, falling off the wagon with a tankard or a flagon yeah I'm falling off the wagon every time.
Falling off the wagon every time, hiding booze in places I can't find. It only takes one glass of red,
I wind up in a strangers bed with two days memory I will never find...
Falling off the wagon every time, constantly got drinking on my mind. Tried to take one teenage drink and now I have three kids (I think),
was nineteen now I'm nearer forty nine...
Falling off the wagon every time, wasted all my dollars and my dimes. If I had a pound for every drink and every round
I'd be the richest man in town (and that's no lie), but I'm falling off the wagon every time.
LIFE'S WHAT HAPPENS WHILE YOU'RE MAKING OTHER PLANS
Life's what happens while you're making other plans, while you're scratching out a living for the extra grand.
Life's what happens while you're watching your TV, why you living your life so vicariously?
Life's what happens while you're pacing up and down while you're staring at the mirror with a constant frown.
Life's what happens while you're staring at the wall, while you live your life like a curtain call.
Life's what happens while you're staring at the coal (fire), swimming like a goldfish in a goldfish bowl (higher).
Life's what happens while you're sitting all alone, why d'you live your life like an eau-de-cologne?
Life's what happens when you let it come and go, when the people that you talk to aint the people that you know.
Life's what happens when you're done with being mean, when you live your life like a human being.
